After more than two months (nov 2008), finally the new BRTI committee members from public representative were announced. The selection process acctually started on October 2008, but only few experts were interested. Then, the registration was extended up to Nov 11th 2008 where the participants reached 88 people. This long waited information finally received by telecommunication stake holder in Indonesia. The minister of communication and information technology announced the 5 elected public representative for BRTI committee members. They are: Danrivanto Budhyanto, Heru Sutadi, Iwan Krisnadi, Nonot Harsono, and Ridwan Effendi.

Danrivanto Budhiyanto, SH, LLM is a lecturer from Padjadjaran University in Bandung. He finished his bachelor degree at the same universitymajoring law in 1995. Danrivanto finished his master degree in The John Marshall School , Chicago-USA, majoring Information Technology & Privacy Law, 2003.

Ir. Heru Sutadi, M.Si was previous BRTI committee members who just ended his length of duty on last October. Heru is the only member who was elected again for the second term. He finished his bachelor degreen in University of Indonesia, Jakarta, majoring Electrotechnic on 1996. He also finished his master degree at the same university majoring communication.

Dr. Ir. Iwan Krisnadi, MBA was Telkom employee and lecturer in University of Indonesia. Iwan finished his bachelor degree in ITB in 1976, his master degree in California Coast University , USA , 1985 and his doctoral in California Coast University , USA , Business Administration, 1987.

Ir. Nonot Harsono, MT is the youngest elected member and a lecturer in Surabaya Polytechnic of Electronic. He finished his abchelor and master degree in Elctrotechnic ITS in 1989 and 1999 respectively.

Dr. Ir. Ridwan Effendi, MA.Sc is a lecturer in the School of Electrotechnic and Information ITB Bandung. He finished his bachelor degree in ITB majoring Electrotechnic 1988, his master degree in University of Waterloo , Canada , 1994 and his doctoral in ITB Bandung , 2005 .

Each member from public representative will be assigned with different aspect namely telecommunication, information technology, public policy, law and economic. Unfortunately, the announcement received did not mention the position of each elected member. Anyway, congratulation for new members and we are waiting for your excellent contribution for Indonesian Telecommunication.
