BWA Tender Info (2) – Bands & Specification

There are several bands that are allocated for broadband usage in Indonesia. These are the bands.

1. Band 287 – 294 MHz and 310 – 324 MHz
2. Band 1428 – 1522 MHz
3. Band 2053 – 2083 MHz
4. Band 2300 – 2400 MHz 42
5. Band 3300 – 3400 MHz 46
6. Band 3400 – 3600 MHz 59
7. Band 10150 – 10300 MHz & 10500 – 10650 MHz

However, only 1 block of 15MHZ (2375 – 2390MHz) will be auctioned in the first stage, around April this year. Other blocks will be auctioned in a later time.

The auction consists of several steps:
a) Registration

b) Qualification ; On this step, participants shall hand in proposal and deployment commitment for duration of the next 5 years. They also are required to write down the commitment to use local ICT industries and resources, namely 30% CAPEX and 50% OPEX.

c) Auction – two stages with sealed amplop.
d) Post auction step

Participants are open to all telecommunication network and service provider or new telecommunication network provider.
The standard and specification are for BWA 2.3 GHz nomadic.
There are 15 regions as mention in previous posting.

The winner will be given a license to operate fixed network packet switched based.

    Nice to read your comment. The latest information I have, the tender will be on this April possibly on the 4th week.
